Using Front Row and your external drives can create some irritation ’cause when you press source you might think you can set up a new source but no.. So if you have all you movies on an external drive create an alias for the movie folder on the external drive by right clicking on the folder and select “create alias” and put it in your movies folder in your home folder on your mac’s internal drive. This will make Front Row think that all the movies are stored on your mac’s internal drive.
